this says the one in the episode was a replica and these are relicas of that replica. I wonder what became of the original.

Attentive Tiki Central readers are of course also aware of the post by DC that showed the Milan Guanko original that this Tiki was modeled after. :D

I find the observation that the prop in the show was most likely plastic quite interesting, that might be so. Can't double-check, because I don't have a quality copy of "Waiting for Watubi" available. My lathe-carved specimen is palm wood, quite light actually. I field-collected it at Danny Balsz's "The Tikis", if I remember correctly.
