Deke Dickerson's Guitar Geek Fest. Sat. Jan. 15th, 3pm to midnite or later

Ok so this isn't a Tiki Event, (shoot me)
but there is some Steel Guitar(lap steel) stuff in the Hawaiiana vein,
and some surfy stuff, so their is a connection in a small way.
all of the playing in this show is amazing.

Highlights for me
Trashmen (Surfin' Bird)
Davie Allen (Blue's theme)
Pan Americans(feat. Joao Erbetta, Pete Curry, etc..(Cool Latin Instro)
and of course Junior Brown

and looking forward to the
ZZ top tribute band, (always liked the Pre-Eliminator album ZZ top)
and the Big Bottom Bass off (Spinal Tap song)

Spike of the Hula Girls, and Jon Paul of Tikiyaki usually go also.
Hopefully we can talk Bong, Lucas Vigor,Tikiyaki Jim and some more of you open minded music fans into coming to this.

well Duh...

Been to every one except the first, and I'll be at this one (and bringing along my guitar with R.C. Allen pick-ups for the jam). It's a great lineup!

Somebody needs to put together an Eden Ahbez tribute band (I'm growing a beard, but it's still a year too short for either ZZ or Eden).
