I'll start it- please fill in the many blanks:

Tiki Bob, San Francisco
Trader Vic's, Various
Don The Beachcomber, Various
The Islander, Stockton
Kona Hawaii, Santa Ana
Andersen's Pea Soup, Buellton
The Leilani, Fresno
The Luau, Fresno
Bamboo Chopsticks, Bakersfield
Purple Orchid, El Segundo (does that count?)
Zombie Village, Oakland
The Tikis, Monterey Park
The Outrigger, Monterey

God only knows how many chinese restaurants gave away Orchids mugs. I'm just trying to think of places where they name was printed on the mug. I don't have JTs book or my mug collection here at work to look at, so jump in folks.

Did Tiburon Tommy's?

Skipper Kent's, S.F.
The Lanai, San Mateo
Hawaiian Gardens, San Jose

and the Caribbean Zone that was in S.F. had a great mug! (Although technically not a tiki bar- see the Tiki Gallery)

Do they have to be vintage? Do they have to be restaurants?

House of Tiki, Newport Beach
Caliente Tropics, Palm Springs
Honolulu Bay Co, Various
Bali Hai, San Diego
Don the Beachcomber, Various
Aloha Jhoe's - Palm Springs

There's also a bar in the Waterfront Hilton in Huntington Beach that's one of Tiki Farm's biggest customers (they order something like 500 mugs per month from Holden) but I'm not sure if their mugs are marked.

Here's a few more:

Kelbo's (both locations)
Latitude 20 (Torrance)
The Warehouse (Marina Del Rey)
Beachbum Burt's (Redondo Beach)
5 Lanterns (Whittier)
Disneyland?
Trader Kents (Northern CA) - No, I didn't mistake this for Skipper Kents. Saw one of these Moai sell on Ebay recently.
California State University (old Frat party mug)
Chikitiki (Hawthorne)
Tonga Room (Oakland?) (correction, SF)

Did Trader Nick's have one?

Yes, they are marked. The place is Pete Mallory's "Sunset Grille". I was there at the Grand Opening, and they had tons of Tiki Farm mugs on display and you get to keep your mug with every drink you purchased. No unique designs, just existing mugs with different(exclusive?) colors with their logo on it. Does this mug look familiar? It's the same mug design as the first Tiki Farm Tiki Bash from 2002, just in a green color.

Back of mug

Hopefully, the Disneyland Tiki Room mug will be on it's way soon!! (Holden?)

I don't think they've ever done a marked mug before. I do have a couple of PMP mugs that have Disneyland price stickers on them- so they did sell mugs there at some point, just not marked.

....and of course there's the awesome Disneyland moai salt & pepper sets!

Thanks TikiHula,

I think I was remembering those salt & pepper sets from Disneyland. No mugs though like DisneyWorld in Florida had.

Let us not forget Kuo Wah in San Francisco:

Not sure if Trader Nick's had their own mug but a while back I posted a picture of a matchcover from there that had a Tiki bowl (and a drink menu titled "Trader Nick's Grog Log")

They're not as Tiki as the rest, but don't forget:
Malio's, Santa Cruz
The Moonraker in Pacifica
Aloha,
:tiki:

The Hurricane "Lure of the Tropics" was in San Francisco, it closed in 1952, I believe.

The Tahitian in Los Angeles

Kono Hawaii Restaurant, Anaheim

The Islander, also in Los Angeles...

Just my 2-cents.

Does Hanalei Hotel, San Diego count?

Mallory's is located at the Huntington Beach Hyatt not the Hilton. Close.

Monkeyman,
Is it time to update this list?

Currently in the LA area, the Purple Orchid and the new Lucky Tiki each have their own mugs too.

How about spliting the list to show which places are still open and have mugs available?

B

Sam's Seafood-Huntington Beach

UB

Found by accident "bump"

The Minnie's Restaurant Tiki mugs are all sold. Hope you got one.
Although I may give away some that have defective glazes. That is all.
Minnie's is always forgotten. Visit before it disappears.

The Walnut Creek Tiki Tom's had a mug back in the day.

L

Is there anywhere on these forums that lists what mugs were made available at each bar or is that asking too much?

You know like Stockton Islander had:
3 Face bucket
Bamboo
Small Skull
Hula Girl
Brown peanut
Black peanut
Pineapple
Bumatay

am I forgetting some?

I wish I just knew what was out there to collect!

A more current addition:

Mister Tiki Mai Tai Lounge, San Diego

DC

Tiki Ti coconut mug.

This will have to do until Sven comes up with a new design.

DC

The Kapu Kai bowling alley in Cucamonga.

DC

The Trade Winds Oxnard.

as for finding this on tc, it's a bit hit and miss. some people have devoted threads on specific locations that contain pictures of all the collectibles ever seen for that place. it seems critiki is the best place for finding what you are requesting, in that it relies on its followers to post pictures of mugs to the varying places. http://www.critiki.com/cgi-bin/images.cgi?gallery_id=17#/images/locations/304/2502_large.JPG this is a link to the mug gallery, but if you click on the specific locations it will show what mugs have been connected to that tiki location.
