Mid Century Auction 3/06/11 with WITCO, Dali, Wright, and more.

yep. I never saw these pieces before, so I thought I'd share.

Not Witco, but very cool. I am surprised that an auction house mislabels pieces such as these. But their expertise seems to be early 20th, not mid-century.

haha, glad I just report it, and not label it. If someone bids on it before they correctly identify it, they ultimately and legally lose that sale, should the high bidder prove it is indeed, not witco. Not very good for the credibility of the auction house, either. Now I wonder what other auction items may contain misinformation...

Wow, just after I posted the above post, the pics came back with red X's...I thought it was my browser...But now the links are dead too! Wonder if someone emailed them to tell them its not witco, and they took those two auctions down, for the misidentified items?

REVISED. NEVERMIND. THEIR SERVER MUST HAVE WENT DOWN FOR A MINUTE OR TWO. IF THE IMAGES SHOW, THE AUCTION IS STILL UP.
