But North America's embracing of Latin music piqued in the mid-1960s with the debonnaire, Latin-styled trumpet player Herb Alpert and his Tijuana Brass band. My battery ran down, I needed a jump, called the Auto Club and 10 minutes later a hepcat with tats up one arm (and only one arm) (what's with that?) turned up in a HUGE tow truck. The battery juiced up no problem and I ended up telling him all about Oasis. He's coming. His name is Hopper.
