Aloha all-
Wanted to throw up some images of a recently completed piece I created, aptly titled "Chief Eyes Da Reef." Instead of the standard art embellishment of a brand new, never-surfed stick that you always see around, I chose to utilize the real thing. I acquired this board after it had been heavily surfed for years. It took alot of repair and prep to bring it to a state where it was ready for paint. There isn't a single square inch on the buggah that doesn't have some sign of use, be it dings, delamination, etc. The idea was to restore the board in a way that would reflect the collective spirit of an object that has slid down the face of literally thousands of ocean swells.
