Mid Century Modern Building Saved in Long Beach, Ca

Always good news when a cool old building is recognized for its original design and not leveled and rebuilt as a dull souless slab of concrete.

Cool, futuristic building. I'm glad they didn't tear it down. I rarely get to Long Beach, so the building is unfamiliar to me.

I just noticed this building last week (driving to Don the Beachcomber, funny enough) and I practically got whiplash from swiveling my head to check it out.

Very glad to hear that it will be saved.

I drive by this building almost every day and look and it and pray "please don't tear it down, please don't tear it down". I've said many times that it would make a great restaurant or bar, except for the service bays behind. Good news!
