Tini Grey Concert at Hulaville

Pages: 1 0 replies

Aloha,
One of the reasons Hulaville's Hawaiian Concert Series was created was to expose more people to Hawaiian entertainers that they might otherwise not notice. Tini Grey is a good example of this mission...
Tinifuloa “Tini” Grey, a singer songwriter and the son of well-known Samoan entertainer Jerome Grey. He grew up singing traditional and contemporary Island music as a young man living in Hawaii and Samoa and is remembered in Hawaii as a member of Reign, the Polynesian R&B vocal quintet who shared the same stage with Lou Rawls, Henry Kapono, Justin Young and The Honolulu Symphony.

Grey moved to California 5 years ago armed with a guitar and knack for songwriting. His debut EP “Better Place” showcases original music influenced by not only the spirit of the islands, but by mainstream artist such as Jack Johnson, John Mayer and Al Green. He will be opening for Amy Hanaialii Gilliom in October at the Ford Amphitheater in Hollywood, and he recently recording his first full-length album with Uncle Willie K’s record label Tribal Records in Maui. Visit TiniGrey.com for more info.

"Grey’s smooth and soulful vocal style makes his music a natural fit for mainstream easy-listening radio" - John Berger, Honolulu Star Advertiser.

“You can’t find voices like his in Orange County” – Bobby Soul, Commonwealth Lounge.

Tickets are $5.00 per person in advance at Hulaville. Come early for ala carte dinner. Call 949 369 1905 for more information.
