The program follows Paul Watson, founder of the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, as he and his crew aboard their various vessels harass Japanese whalers off the coast of Antarctica.[1] The third season premiered on June 4, 2010.[2] Animal Planet has renewed the series for a fourth season which premiered on June 3, 2011. The Sea Shepherd Conservation Society engages in various demonstrations, campaigns, and tactical operations at sea and elsewhere, including conventional protests and direct actions to protect marine wildlife. Sea Shepherd operations have included interdiction against commercial fishing, shark poaching and finning, seal hunting and whaling.[1][2] Many of their activities have been called piracy or terrorism by their targets.[3] Sea Shepherd says that they have taken more than 4,000 volunteers on operations over a period of 30 years.

Adventure of the chase; sorrow of seeing whales killed; and sometimes a satisfactory conclusion. And, some of those boats are intense!
