Come by for 4WDTiki's last chop before he leaves for Hawaii!

It will likely be at my house unless someone else wants to host. Show up around 9am, we'll probably go till 4 or so.

New choppers welcome! I even have extra logs!

PM me if you need my address.

A CHOP!! :o

I'm there. :drink:

That would be this Sunday, I plan to be there! I'm thinking I should make Chocolate/Chili/Cinnamon Ice Cream - I've been waiting for an excuse to try it out :)

B

Mike, did you say Chocolate/Chili/Cinnamon Ice Cream?

Sounds like fun, I'll see if I can make it to my first CHOP !

I have a new project that needs some work...

Rob

maybe...

Holy shit...I might just be able to get my ass in gear!

So Derek, are you coming to this one?

I'm keeping an exotic food theme but I've strayed a bit from the South Pacific/Cantonese; Curried Meatballs with Basmati Rice and Aztec Sundaes (Chocolate Ice Cream, Whip Cream, Cinnamon, Pumpkin Seeds, and CHILI SYRUP!)

Had a great time - thanks all!

The Sept. 2011 Chop was a brilliant success! Gathered friends...some new, some old, shared art and creating for an afternoon.

Okay TC, This right here...this is what it is all about!

...and this too! The FOOD! Shown below is: Mieko's Mom Diane - she is the Chop's Flagship right there! - we all follow the food.

Mieko's Pop - Bill (the Man!)

Mieko and her Mom - Mieko is hands down the kindest, most giving person in Tiki.

This Chop was in part a celebration for a pair old friends who are moving on to enjoy life on the island of Kauai. We will miss you Bill and Lennie! We look forward to that Chop you will be having in Kauai. We will all be there! :)

check out Bill's mad skills

You all should pick one of these up before Bill splits

The talented Lennie:

Look for Bill's ride in Kauai...rock jumping on Kauai?...maybe?

My ride :)

Master Mad Dog Mike was there! Mike, brother, how did I only get 1 shot of you??

Some new friends - Jason Lee & Michele

Michele brought some reference materials along...

She draws like a dream.

Jason Lee is quite a carver!

Karrol and Chloe fought traffic to make the long trip down - you two are awesome!

Mr. Matt Reese showed up to show us his tattoos.

he can make the ass shake on this arm babe with a little flexing.

Dav Lozeau showed up to put a smack down on this monster log.

Sir B is always a joy to watch! He is without a doubt, the master of precision!

And I...I showed up at noon to the fun late, but I made it. :)

Babalu's Traveling Road Show:

I had to leave at about 3:00 pm so I was only able to get two of the three cannibals started that I want to stack up here. Time for some fine tuning and to add the third figure-

Scott from the Skinny Dog Crew showed up right as I was leaving...sorry I didn't get a shot of him...

I called Bowana this morning, and he told me that the Chop went on well into the night...I guess a Porter tribute dude showed up to play for them...

...and the evening was topped off with a ginormous fireworks disply!! How cool is that!

The CHOP LIVES!!!!

Michele brought some reference materials along...

Mahalo Nui Loa! I am honored!

Best,

Phillip

Thanks for hosting, Mieko! And everyone who brought yummy food! :)
Really nice seeing everyone, and to meet Jason and Michelle. Hope you'll be regulars from now on!
Yes Babalu, there was a second wind with more carving and more eating later in the day. Twice the fun!
Best of luck, Bill and Lennie!
Any more pictures?!
The CHOP LIVES!

Thanks again everyone...that is really the pure essence of the tiki community right there. No bullshit...no drama...just fun and art. Thanks for reminding what's good about the scene!

Thanks for posting all the pictures guys! It looks like you all had such a great time! I sure wish I could have been there. Bill, I wish you all the best in Kauai! I'll miss you and Lennie, but I know we'll see you again one of these days. xxx x ooo o

Loved the photos. I feel like I was there - only I was here. I worked on ceramics the whole day while you were all together having the best kind of party. Living down south sure has its benefits. Hello friends, Wendy

Thanks so much for posting these !

Thanks to Mieko for hosting, it was so great to have some creative time with some of my favorite people! Good to see the SD crew and meet some new friends too. Lennie and Bill, you'll be missed, but I know you'll be back for visits and now I have someone to visit when I go to the Islands!
