Sumo Flip Mug Question

does anyone know the story of the Otagiri Sumo Flip mug? to me they don't look anything like a Tiki mug. however, i have seen them them listed as Tiki mugs and in many people's collections. what's the deal?

Did you ever get any info on the mug? I have seen that mug many times, but would like to get some information on it also. Posting the info here on TC would be helpful to those in the future that might do a 'search' on it if they ever have a question about it too.

no i haven't received any info on these yet. i do know that some japanese restaurants in my area (the great midwest) had used them. for what? i really don't know, but i will keep everyone in the loop if i get any new info during my Tiki travels.
