HULI HULI CHICKEN COMES TO DON'S!

Executive Chef Delia Snyder is adding a real treat to the menu this week: Huli Huli Chicken!

This is the Hawaiian version of "Oil Drum Chicken" -- some of you may know it as "Parking Lot Chicken" and anyone who’s traveled anywhere in the world has come across this scene: a roadside stand with a smoky fire in an old oil drum, with well-marinated chicken sizzling on top!

The recipe for this delicious dish has been a hit since was developed in the '50s in Honolulu!

Huli means “turn” in Hawaiian and since Chef Delia's marinade has a good bit of sugar, "Huli Huli" is a reminder to keep turning the chicken so it doesn’t burn as it is cooked over a blazing grill!
