Perfect White Rice

Pages: 1 2 replies

I've always had difficulty making perfect rice.. Even the rice maker I used didn't give me the results I wanted.. I've finally found the recipe for flawless, fluffy rice.. I just used regular rice (Calrose) and I also let the rice soak for an hour even though the weather is warm here in California.. Like the recipe says, it's perfect every time..

Thanks for the post, cvcgolf. Rice is one of those simple things very few do well.

Buy a Zojirushi rice cooker. It may seem unrealistically priced until you make and taste the rice this little magic machine produces. With a little sushi rice vinegar and some mixing and drying, you'll have some of the best sushi rice you've ever tasted. It also makes perfect standard white rice, brown rice, etc. I also add a few teaspoons of fresh ginger juice to the water prior to cooking. http://www.amazon.com/Zojirushi-NS-ZCC10-Cooker-Warmer-Premium/dp/B00007J5U7/
