I can't imagine. Cinnamon or cassia is from the bark. Sounds like a marketing schtick. Vanilla/vanilla bean. |

Actually, cinnamon is the inner bark of the tree/bush. I expect that cinnamon and cinnamon bark are pretty much the same. |

I'm just gonna' chime in that although these syrups may be the same, there's a big difference between the average coffee-targeted cinnamon syrup and the cinnamon-infused simple syrup that's appropriate for cocktails. I think the best commercial cinnamon syrups (or cinnamon-infused simple syrups) on the market are still the ones by Sonoma Syrup Co. and BG Reynolds (formerly Trader Tiki).
