W Wayfarer Member Japan Joined: Jun 03, 2009 Posts: 330	W Wayfarer Posted posted on 12/20/2011 Here's a pair of cocktails I found in the book Pan Am Clippers: The Golden Age of Flying Boats South Seas Cocktail Served before dinner on the flight from Treasure Island to New Zealand Two-fifths gin Two-fifths orange juice one-fifth Curacao Cracked ice Shake vigorously and strain into cocktail glass Clipper Cocktail Served on the North Pacific run One pony white Puerto Rican rum One pony dry vermouth one half-teaspoon grenadine Pour over ice in mixing glass and stir Serve with cherry in a Clipper Cocktail glass, rim well moistened with lemon rind

A litle before that, late 1930's I believe.
