We appreciated your thirst and your generosity. I had a blast getting to see both familiar and new faces. Mahalo also to all the other hosts. Each cocktail I had was top-notch. I'm only sorry I missed a couple while setting up shop. And thanks to Val and my sister, who made sure the drinks were iced and garnished. For those of you who are interested, and asked about the Black River Punch, the "road recipe" version is below. Black River Punch 1 oz. lemon juice 1 oz. Demerara sugar syrup 0.5 oz. Falernum (recipe from Beachbum Berry Remixed) 0.25 oz. Pimento dram (recipe from Beachbum Berry Remixed) 3 oz. Appleton VX 2 oz. strong black tea Shake lightly with ice, pour into a tall glass. Top with a splash of soda, if desired (I omit soda when making large quantities; the ice block handles the dilution). Room decor contests have been a tiki event standard at events for years now all over the globe. The best room decoration at TC4 went to the "Flaming Tiki" Room! Special mention to the wonderful hosts, the "Zen Tiki Lounge" Fantastic job to all who decorated and set the perfect mood for all of us to enjoy. The Cocktail Contest, Thank You to all of our Hosts! I don't remember events having a contest for best cocktail until a couple years ago, I was worried about this as I didn't want to discourage anybody from joining in the fun. In the end I believe that folks who wanted to host did host for the fun of showing their skills and throwing a great party for all of us Thank You Hosts! Never an event such as this have I enjoyed so many well constructed cocktails what a great surprise!
