THE HULA GIRLS
Like a ‘32 Ford tearing through the International Marketplace in 1960 Honolulu, The Hula Girls will be preaching their self-described ‘hulabilly’ sounds in our Dagger Bar! They’ve playing along side such modern rockabilly and modern surf legends as Big Sandy, Dave Alvin, Thee Swank Bastards, Ape, Los Straitjackets, Wayne the Train Hancock, and Hot Rod Lincoln.
It’s up-tempo hapa haole, tiki, and surf themed music, all filtered through the late 1950s and early 60s rockabilly and rock n’ roll sound. Just when you thought tiki music had to be sleepy instrumental tunes, here come The Hula Girls!
