Houston's local preservation group for mod architecture, Houston Mod, has a thing where a list is compiled monthly of all the available mid-century modern houses for sale in the city. It is posted on their site, http://www.houstonmod.org (under the modern in Houston tab), in hopes of attracting sympathetic buyers that will end up buying and preserving the houses. If anyone moves to Houston and needs the perfect swank pad to put in their tiki room, this is the list to look at. The latest batch is here:

In a month that link will be dead, but a new one will replace it each month on the Houston Mod site.

We lost a bid on the perfect Mid-Century Mod home... homeowner wasn't willing to come down on price, and bank appraisal wasn't going to hit her asking price. Either way, this house was fantastic. She has lived there since 1970, and kept it in pristine condition, complete with her selection of furniture.
