Fisherman and Kitty Chow have been making beautiful Tiki music together for 13 years, as geography has allowed- Kitty currently lives in Honolulu, Hawaii, and Fisherman in New York City, so this reunion in the Bay area on April 22 at Forbidden Island is a very special occasion not to be missed by the discerning Tikiphile! Kitty Chow, born in Hawaii, moved to Vancouver where she discovered Burlesque and worked with Fluff Girl Productions. She moved to San Francisco and joined Fisherman's Famous San Francisco Burlesque. Her ability to beautifully sing and jazz songs, accompanying herself expertly on the Ukulele, AND spice her numbers with scintillating classic striptease, place Kitty in an elite echelon of the Burlesque firmament. She quickly became a star feature of Fisherman's show, and they worked together at the first Tease o Rama in New Orleans, Exotic World, and numerous other events. Kitty moved back to Hawaii in 2005, is one of the co-founding members of Cherry Blossom Cabaret, and fronts Soul Revival Sound Systems, a 10-piece vintage reggae/soul band. Kitty and Fisherman re-connected after many years in 2010, and last year she came to New York for a string of engagements with Fisherman's Tiki Party at the Astor Room. The success of that collaboration led them to apply for Tease o , where they will be performing a new arrangement of a classic Tiki song . Fisherman plays the Vibraphone and bandleader, and has been producing Tiki-Burly-Rocky--Shaky-What? shows since approximately the stone-age. Moving from San Francisco to New York in 2001, Fisherman quickly cornered the market in live Tiki/Burlesque music. Fisherman's Love Luau is now the longest running continuous show at Island's Burlesque at the Beach series!
