WTB 2" Bamboo Pole

I'm looking for a 2" bamboo pole that is about 8 foot tall. I need just one, so it is difficult to find...

Anyone have any ideas the best place to purchase it? I live in MD, so it may have to come from online. Trying to get the last piece of our backyard done to enjoy the rest of the summer.

Check with a Garden or Nursery supply store. Sometimes they have them in the summertime.

Try the PVC pipe trick. Search for "faux bamboo" that describes the treatment of the PVC. From a distance and a couple of rum influenced beverages....it looks real enough.

Thats an option.. I didn't even think of that.

Being up north, and natural bamboo not fairing too well in our climate, I opted for "faux bamboo" for our tiki torches ... but couldn't find anything locally. Go figure.
Found a company http://www.islandstylebamboo.com in Maui, and arranged for a number of their tiki torch sleeves to be delivered to our condo while we were in Kauai. We brought them back on the plane with us. The sleeves are awesome ... people asking where we bought such nice bamboo! The owner, Bill was great to work with.
