Pages: 1 3 replies

Wonderful vintage large framed oil painting on canvas by listed Filipino artist Ricardo Borja Enriquez, brother of famous portraitist Romeo Borja Enriquez.
Would look amazing in a home tiki bar or tropicana-themed room.
Signed, lower-right: Ricardo B. Enriquez / 62.
Outside wooden frame dimensions: 31" H x 41.5" W.
Local pick-up only - Victoria, BC. (Due to its dimensions, shipping is prohibitive.)
Asking $200.00

AAAH,
That looks like my kinda place.
Makes ya wanna crawl right into the frame, launch that little canoe,
paddle across that little stretch of water, and head home to that
grass shack with the light glowing in the window.

I too have an almost identical painting of this scene and same artist; I had to look closely to note the differences. It was an anniversary present to my late sister from her husband. They were living in Manila at the time and I know it was painted in the late fifties. My brother in law worked for B.O.A.C and the painting has travelled all around the world to eventually retire in the UK.
