I'm leading a tour of Mountain View Cemetery in Oakland, this Saturday (June 28) at 11 a.m., to be followed by ice cream at the newly reopened Fenton's Creamery.

Designed by Frederick Law Olmstead, Mountain View Cemetery has some of the most amazing views in the Bay Area, and it's the final resting place for Victor Bergeron and Elizabeth Short (also known as TRADER VIC and the BLACK DAHLIA, respectively), among others.

Check out www.mountainviewcemetery,org and http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/famousSearch.cgi?mode=cemetery&FScemeteryid=8191 for additional info and pictures.

SPACE IS LIMITED TO TEN PEOPLE!! E-mail [email protected] to RSVP and get directions.

Cindy,

Poor Elizabeth Short, who ended up much shorter, is she buried in one casket or two?

Probably just one -- she has the basic standard-size plot.
