Dearest Snobs and HairSplitters,

Can you please explain the difference between these 2 bottlings?

My humble thanks in advance,

A millesime means the rum is from a certain year, usually a good one. 1982 from this bottle as I can see. It's the same with wine, they do millesime when the grapes are of good quality some years.
Hors d'Age is a certain time of aging, but we can't know from when the aging took place.

Excellent. Thanks V!

Last time I checked my secret store, they still had a few bottles on a dusty shelf. I need to grab em while I can.

you should. I've never seen those Millesime in France. (where St James is very common).

Hey Virani, can you get Hors D'age over there? As we looked while in Paris and couldnt find any

V

yes, you can, but it's very rare. Or on some websites, like here : http://www.lacompagniedurhum.com/saint-james,fr,5,84.cfm
did you try at the amazing rum store Christian De Montaguère ? Or at https://www.facebook.com/cavearhum
