As the time draws nearer we get more and more excited about the upcoming Exotica 2003 in Chicago! We are delighted with the response we have had from folks who are planning to join us for the evening of cocktails at the Kona Kai. We would like to encourage anyone who would like to be in attendance to contact us and order their tickets. Of course you can do this by checking in at http://www.konakai.com/exotica/event_konakai.html Or simply email us at: [email protected] If you would like to attend the Kona Kai event, please be sure to get signed up and send payment in so that we will have time to mail you your tickets. There is a deadline to request tickets of August 1st and a deadline to pay for tickets of August 15. All tickets for the Kona Kai must be purchased in advance, as there will NOT be tickets available the day of the event. What can you expect at the Kona Kai? Well, we are planning an evening in the grand tradition of Trader Vic's, Don the Beachcomber, and all other fine Tiki establishments. Besides the opportunity to witness the grandeur of the Kona Kai once again (it has been closed the past four years) we will be having an adult evening of tasty tropical drinks, soothing sounds of Exotica and Hawaiian music (courtesy of DJ Del Villareal Lanialoha and Calvin Lee), and conversation with old friends and new. We will provide an open bar for the duration of the evening and we will have some light snacks as well. We are encouraging everyone to come decked in their finest aloha attire. We hope to make this a first-class event. This will be the only opportunity all weekend to get your very own Exotica 2003 Munktiki tiki mug. We will have just a small number of the limited edition Munktiki mugs designed especially for Exotica 2003. Due to the fact that these have been hand-crafted by Munktiki, there will not be a great many available and they will probably sell out quickly. We hope to have a few more surprises for our guests at the Kona Kai, but if we told you now, it wouldn't be a surprise, would it? So please join us for cocktails at the Kona Kai as well as the weekend full of Tiki fun we call Exotica 2003! Keep an eye on the Exotica website for further updates and additional details.
