At our favorite local antique store they have a large ship's light. It's round, silver (metal) with a white translucent lens and about 1.5 to 2 feet high and maybe 10-12 inches in diameter on the light. It has not been rewired and has had the high gauge wire to it cut. After seeing all those at the Mai Kai I am thinking about getting it for our bar. But it's at $150 now. I know they will come down on it for us, but I am wondering if that's a good or bad price. Maybe I can post a picture of it later.

You can get an idea what they are currently selling for on ebay, just search "ship lantern". Most of the large ones seem to sell for around $100. I've been keeping an eye out myself, to stock my bar. I did find repro port & starboard lanterns for $24 each, direct from India. Most retail stores sell them for over $60 each!

Good luck in your continuing bar decor search!

Here is a similar lamp on Ebay, although I can't tell the size of this one. A lot cheaper the $150!
