At our favorite local antique store they have a large ship's light. It's round, silver (metal) with a white translucent lens and about 1.5 to 2 feet high and maybe 10-12 inches in diameter on the light. It has not been rewired and has had the high gauge wire to it cut. After seeing all those at the Mai Kai I am thinking about getting it for our bar. But it's at $150 now. I know they will come down on it for us, but I am wondering if that's a good or bad price. Maybe I can post a picture of it later. |

You can get an idea what they are currently selling for on ebay, just search "ship lantern". Most of the large ones seem to sell for around $100. I've been keeping an eye out myself, to stock my bar. I did find repro port & starboard lanterns for $24 each, direct from India. Most retail stores sell them for over $60 each! Good luck in your continuing bar decor search! |

Here is a similar lamp on Ebay, although I can't tell the size of this one. A lot cheaper the $150! |
