Thurston Howlers - my namesake

Here's a pic of a local band called The Thurston Howlers from 2000. Now defunct some of the band members I think went on to fame as The Hoodoo Gurus. I'll post this in Tiki Music. The band wore fez's while performing and were accompanied by female backup singers called The MaryAnnes. The irony is that I couldn't find this CD in Australia and had to import it from a dealer in the U.S. of A!

I thought the hoodoo gurus were big back in the '80'S?

I have a vintage jukebox and have always found that I can source 7" records from the 1950s and 60s cheaper from the US than I can from Australia. A larger market I guess. Same with CDs.
