My wife and i purchased 2 different ones on our honeymoon and were wondering if the heads and figure had any meaning. Can anyone point me to a person or company that could tell me about them. Thanks!!

How about a little info & pics?

Congratulations!

Your Tiki may be a "Ku" such as this version from the Big Island at Pu'uhonua o Honaunau National Historical Park or Place of Refuge.

This thread stinks!

I'll give it until morning to save itself.

I like tikis!

Here are the 2 we purchased. When we in Honolulu there was an outdoor market and a gentleman carving them there. Thanks for any help.

First one is often refered to as "Ku", and is based on this original Hawaiian carving

They usually call tikis that look like the second one you posted Kanaloa.

Both are Tongan styled "tourist" tikis.

Buzzy Out!
