First Post! There's a tiki bar seminar at Thirst Boston in early November. "Thirst Boston is a gathering of bartenders, industry icons and beverage connoisseurs from Boston and beyond. Our goal is to educate attendees on the science, craft, and taste of all things related to the art of drink. We want to celebrate our local talent (your favorite bartenders and baristas) and have a pretty kick-ass time hanging out together." The Rise and Fall and Rise of the Tiki Bar, Sunday, 11/20 2:30-4:00pm Link: http://www.thirstboston.com/seminars [ Edited by: bluechicken 2013-10-22 13:20 ] |

That's bound to be good! Martin Cate will certainly talk about Steve Crane's Kon Tiki and Skipper Kent's Polynesian Village, and other Boston Tiki bastions. |

The seminar was great, given by Martin Cate of Smuggler's Cove. We got a tiki history lesson while being served two drinks and a scorpion bowl. What's not to love about that? |

It was a good time. Winning a Smuggler's Cove tiki mug was nice too. -Rev |
