January trip to Florida - must visits?

My wife and I are going to Florida in January. We are going to fly in to Ft Lauderdale (cheaper than Miami) and go down to Miami for a couple nights. Then we are going down to the Keys for a few nights and heading back to Fort Lauderdale for the last few nights of our visit. I have relatives in West Palm Beach so we will visit them and they will give us some suggestions too. We have been to Florida quite a few times, so we are not totally clueless either.

No real agenda yet but we are planning on:

Getting a bottle of Koala Bay Rum or 2

And going to the Mai Kai for my birthday.

I already know what to expect by the Florida Tiki Bars, so other good drink venue ideas would be appreciated.

What else is a must in the tiki world of Florida?

Also, I am hoping that some of the Florida ohana might want to come and have a drink with me on my birthday? Let me know if you might make it, I would love to meet you guys!
