Seeking Honolulu Harry's and Polynesian Village Ephemera!

Pages: 1 2 replies

Hoping someone out there in TC-land can help me with this...

I'm seeking any and all ephemera related to two long-bygone Chicago Tiki joints, Honolulu Harry's Waikiki as well
as the Polynesian Village at the Edgewater Beach Hotel.

Both were early establishments (1930's-40's) in the Uptown neighborhood.

I'm seeking matchbooks, napkins, menus, tableware, etc... if you have postcards, fliers or other paper goods in
your collection and would be willing to send me a high quality printable scan of (via WeTransfer or Dropbox) that
would be absolutely epic!

Any and all help is appreciated... I'm planning to use these for a future project related to keeping their
memory alive and well, so rest assured they will be put to good use.

I know I've seen some plates and things with the Edgewater Polynesian Village logo on them (this was part of a chain,
and there was another version at the Somerset Hotel in Boston that used identical logos and menus) and PV would have
been going a good amount later than Harry's, which I believe had closed up long before the Tiki movement really got
Tiki in the 1960's.

Thanks in advance!

There's high-res matchbook scans for Honolulu Harry's Waikiki (front and back). Matchbook050 and 051.

AWESOME!

Thanks much, TikiTacky - exactly the kinda stuff I'm looking for!

These were both well known places in their time, and some things DO turn up
on eBay from time to time, but not with much frequency.

If anybody has a menu or napkins or other things they're lookin' to sell... let's say I know a guy...
