I'm performing research on a 38 mm (Morgan or Peace silver dollar size, also Eisenhower dollar size) plastic token (sometimes called a marker). I attached an image of the obverse and reverse. If you can provide a month/year that you handled it or saw this token in use I would greatly appreciate it. I will compile the results and report it. I don't believe this plastic token was used during the entire 40 years of The Waikikian Hotel existence. If you desire to see a few other Tiki token go to http://tokencatalog.com/index.php and search "Tiki" or your favorite term. I did list the Waikikian / Tahitian Lanai token there recently. I also did a short blog write-up at my website. http://thehawaiiananumismatist.com/ Thank you in advance. [ Edited by: DrDarryl 2014-03-31 18:53 ] [ Edited by: DrDarryl 2014-03-31 18:53 ] |

Thank for the insight Phillip. Here is another variety of the Waikikian/ Tahitian Lanai token. On front, palm is on right side and no comma between capitalized HONOLULU and HAWAII On the back, lower case "the" is above Waikikian. Font type also changed. |
