Notice Hula Girls at Sept. show.

Thanks for posting this! I called the museum Friday to ask if they had the schedule. The web site still shows last year's events. The volunteer proceeded to reel off all the dates and bands - rapid fire, like I was taking shorthand dictation. She said there was no stack of fliers yet.

Here is a link to the correct info:

Hey Jeff BTD!

I want to thank you for putting these shows on down at the HB Pier. It's really killer to just cruise my bike down the path from my hut and see the bands you put on. Also the backdrop with the waves and ocean, beach, etc, nothing better! Hope you keep doing this.

Aloha! Bamboo Ben!

Thanks Ben!
It's a labor of love,
All the museum volunteers and the bands are doing it for free.
To raise money for the Surfing museum.
Hopefully they will let us continue doing the shows next year.

Jeff btd

come escape the heat inland
and enjoy a day at the beach.

Duke's is next door, and Don's is just up PCH about 6 miles.

Jeff(btd)

Is it my imagination or were the Breakaways supposed to play in this lineup tomorrow?

they were supposed to, but had to cancel for family reasons.
sorry, still a great line up, hope you will still come down.

Jeff(btd)

I was able to make it later in the day, during the beginning of Paul Johnson’s set. The Surf Kings were very enjoyable to hear and watch. Great musicianship!

On another note (no pun), the surf museum board or directors would be completely insane if they ceased producing these concerts in the future. Of course, besides providing a cool venue to promote this iconic genre of music, it also offers the most effective exposure for the HBISM, in my opinion. Thanks for your tireless efforts, Jeff!

Thanks for the kind words sir,
It's a labor of love.
