mystery floor standing tiki ashtray

Pages: 1 10 replies

I recently acquired this tiki ashtray. it's made of foam, similar to the foam tikis made for united which leads me to believe that it may have been made about the same time if not by the same company. It has no makers mark. This seems like the type of cheap tiki decor that would have been made for travel agencies and such back in the day. I would think that had this been from a vintage tiki bar, it would have been made of wood, not foam, for durability and the type of used it would be subjected to.

Not sure it "is" Tiki?
primitive, sure, no marks or labels?

I totally dig it... congrats on finding it..

Yes- to the untrained eye it may not appear to be tiki but the experts here will agree, it's definitely tiki .

It is true, I am not an expert on ashtrays & their Tikiness

It's kinda like this.
I like it, two thumbs up Dave.
Plus the Kahiki did have wood ashtrays like this by the door.
But then that was before smoking was a huge crime.
