Turns out that juicing limes and exposing the skin to sunlight can cause phytophotodermatitis, which can cause blisters, swelling, and permanent skin discoloration: http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phytophotodermatitis Who knew?! |

That one I actually knew because my dermatologist always warns about limes, figs, and a few other foods that can severely reduce your sun protection when eaten. Obviously, it is much worse directly on the skin. |
