hey all, heading to Phoenix AZ Friday, sat and maybe sunday, anything tiki and cool to see and do in the local area? anywhere good to shop? thanks all

so Mo Tiki told me about Bikini Hula lounge and Kon Tki in Tucson.....

and Go Cat Go......

Go Kat Go is closed :( There's 2 locations of a sort of tiki bar called Hula's (they have some nice artwork- but are more hipster than tiki dive).

As for shopping - nothing we've found specifically tiki - but if you like Mid Century stuff there's Modern Manor http://modernmanorstore.com/ and several stores in that area with some nice MCM & Retro Vintage. Modern on Melrose, Miss Funky Junk & Retro Ranch sometimes have tiki things.

thanks so so much, I'll have to go to all of them for sure

Hula's Modern Tiki has decent drinks and really good food (huge portions) for great prices. It's more modern than tiki, but it's worth a visit for a good meal.

Agreed about Hulas - Their coconut shrimp eggrolls are super good - and hubby likes their poke. The black bean burger is wow too. And the drinks - yum - now I wanna go there!

Huls's is good for a meetup if you want.
