It's been a few years since I last logged in here. The love of tiki hasn't faded but life took over, or to be precise - beer took over, and then a local craft cocktail scene was born and then I started working for the W&S industry and now I manage Havana Club rum in Israel, among other great spirit brands, though not for much longer, as I had recently quit. Anyway - we're flying to Copenhagen on Tuesday, a pilgrimage to one of the best beer destinations in the world. Of course, we'll have to wash down all them imperial IPA's and stouts with some cocktails, and I was wondering, is the Brass Monkey any good? At this stage, I'm looking more for the quality of drinks than for decor. Cheers, |

Cheers for that - Barchick now has a CPH special, how resourceful! Was looking for personal recommendation and first-hand experience and actually found some at the craft beer forums I've been frequenting. If we end up opting for anything besides beer, I'll be back here with notes. K. |

Other than Micropolis, the newest addition to the Mikkeller Beer phenomenon, the only other cocktail bar we visited was the Brass Monkey, purely by chance, as we were dropped off nearby, after a visit at the Amager Brewery. Not a bad place - Cannot compare it to other cocktail bars in town, as Micropolis is quite unique for a cocktail place, with quality beer taps and beer used in cocktails, but all in all it quite nice. |
