eBay: expensive ashtray!

At least that ashtray looks kinda cool.

There's one of those rubber Menehune swizzle sticks listed on eBay at $197 right now.

Wow! Just a little over 3 hours left and it's almost up to $500.00.

T

Wow! Super cool indeed. Never seen the Aku Aku one before. There are similar ashtrays for The Los Angeles Islander and Trader Dick's. But never have I seen an Aku Aku one.
Super rare indeed. Awesome.

I just have to laugh at how foolish some people are with money
it's a cool ashtray that I would pay $30 for & not a cent more.

T

Holy smokes! I hope it comes with some really good cigars... ?

Yeah, mugs are one thing but ashtrays? I agree $30 is about my limit. Get a cooler one at Tiki Ti!

It went for $498.32 to some fool, could of got an Elvis Blue Hawaii mug for that.

It's all relative, as you mentioned earlier, you wouldn't spend more than $30 for the ashtray. My guess is that, to the buyer, dropping close to $500 for this is ashtray is probably the same as $30 to you! I'm also guessing they likely already have an Elvis Blue Hawaii mug in their collection. Some people have money to burn, I wouldn't chastise them for spending it on Tiki.

Just keeping it 100 :D

T

It's very cool.
AND an ashtray is going to be more rare than a mug would as they made less and broke more.
If I was swimming in cash I would buy it.

But there are a few folks that spend about five thousand in cash EVERY month on tiki.
Plus that's JUST ebay, as there is no record of all they buy.
And have been doing so for many years.
What would ten or more years of that come to?
Used to be able to track what was spent and bought by folks
on ebay but they have made that a bit harder.

That's decadence at it's highest level in these hard economic times.

But if I were some rich doctor I may do the same thing.
People don't blink an eye when a person pays big for some stupid huge diamond.
