2006, limited edition, only ten made! Gift souvenirs of my home tiki bar, The Mo-Tiki. Created myself, first attempt. The how-did: modeled out of Sculpty, plaster mix got from Pearl Art Supply and I followed the directions on the box. Made a mold good enough to give to someone who poured the slip and then fired it up. Took the bisque to one of those storefront ceramic party places and painted garish glazes, then into the kiln and retrieved a week later. Only a year behind schedule! Rare artifact of a bygone era. Apparently one has been sold on Ebay.

Good job. I like your design and the colors are such fun. Keep posing on this thread. You can edit the title and add photos every time you do more. I'd enjoy watching. Wendy |

Good job! I love the idea of a homemade custom mug for your home bar. I'd love to create one myself one day. Maybe I'll give sculpting with some sculpty clay a try. Thanks for the hint about using a beer can to mold against! I have trouble forming nice cylinders. |
