WTB Vintage Porthole

Pages: 1 7 replies

Wondering if anyone has a porthole they're interested in parting with? I'm looking for something in the 6-12 inch diameter size range. It doesn't have to be perfect...but would be nice if the parts were there and worked.

Best place is eBay hate to say it.
Or Flea markets / antique shows.
To find one cheap is hard to do these days.

Have always wanted to make a round window out of the bottom of one of those Bamboo steamers.
That would be cheap and kinda cool.

Good luck.

I actually have one I need to sell. Bought it off of ebay a few years back - it's still in the box it was shipped to me in, in fact.

I no longer need it, as I found a door at a nautical salvage place in Galveston with the porthole intact, so I do need to get rid of the one I have.

If you're interested, I can unbox it & get some pictures?

It's a set, with both the front & back

Thanks Tiki Skip. I've been keeping an eye out on ebay as well.

@croe67 I just sent you a PM for more info.

Just dug them out & got some pictures - really nice WC 8" portholes - PM on the way with pictures :)

And - for the curious - they are a set of 8" Wilcox Crittenden portholes

& if jimsflies decides to pass on them, they are available for sale

A pair is hard to find.
And those are nice ones.
you need two for you doors, already did my shed or I would think of those.

I know you want vintage, but Benson's has some nice portholes with mirrors at very reasonable prices. http://www.bambooandthatchetc.com/index.php?cPath=644_658
