Building backyard a-frame?

Has anyone here built a backyard a-frame? I've seen a couple of pictures of shade structures, but I am thinking about building a small, fully enclosed (glass walls on two ends) structure, probably by scaling a slightly larger a-frame house plan down to size. I'd be interested to hear about anyone's experience doing something like this.
