The Best Rum!!??

To all you T.C.ers, I was wondering??
What would you consider to be the best rum out there?? I had a party at my house once and a fellow brought some rum that was out of this world. I wish I could remember the name. It came in a fancy wooden box and it was in a flannel bag. The bottle had this big ol meddalion on it. This stuff was soooo good, I wanted to drink it right out of the bottle. But as a good foo foo drink drinker, I knew that was a fou pas. So lets hear your fav's for rums.
