Howie's Tiki (Spring, TX) Mug Release Party

Pages: 1 0 replies

Howie's Tiki will be introducing their first tiki mug with an official grand opening and new menu on October 8th. The mug is kool!!! A 16oz Tiki Farm mug designed by Ken Ruzic in the shape of a volcano. This tiki mug has a couple features that Tiki Farm mentioned (to Mark Voros; owner of Howie's Tiki) that they have never done before! For starters it has a ceramic shot "glass" that fits into the top of the volcano mug, perfect for putting some 151 in and flaming up to give the drink the look of a very hot and tantalizing eruption. When your done with the flame pour it into the volcano and put the shot "glass" lid back on and insert the straw in what appears to be a spout (it is actually for a straw). That being said... This mug can act as a very unique pitcher as well.

The mug has texture and is not glossy (but for the shot glass). The characteristics of the mug have definite Ken Ruzic notes and it's full of colors. The mug sports wrap around tropical foliage, palm trees, and volcano rock, with red "lava" top shot glass, the front has "Howie's Tiki" in red and the back has a Texas shaped cutout with a red star at Howie's tiki location.

It will start selling at Howie's Tiki on Oct 8th at 2pm for $39 with a drink included. After that $39 will continue to be the price with a drink, $30 without (in store), and may possibly go on online sales sometime after Oct 8th; assuming they don't run out!!!

The back of the mug pictured below has an error... One palm tree didn't get it's green fronds, but all the all mugs should. The mugs also tend to very in rock color lite to a darker gray. This is the lightest on I saw.
