Finally got around to looking at the Lost Lake website - http://www.lostlaketiki.com/ - last night and came across this little blurb: A stylish tropical oasis-meets-flotsam strewn island hut, Lost Lake evokes both the glamorous tropical escapism of 1930s Hollywood and the rugged nautical, island aesthetic of the world's first tiki bar — the original Don’s Beachcomber Cafe. ...and couldn't help thinking: haven't I seen that elsewhere recently? A stylish tiki oasis. Tropical escapism and the rugged nautical, island aesthetic of the world's first tiki bar — the original Don’s Beachcomber Cafe. http://www.pacificglasgow.com/ Yep, sure had! So which came first? [ Edited by: HopeChest 2017-01-26 11:13 ] |

The domain registry is no help. They were both created in fall of 2014. If someone goes through the internet archive they could see which website had it first.... And they both have that text at about the saem time in 2015. Lost Lake in March. Pacific in July. |

Hadn't thought of checking archive - nice one, mate. You're right, it looks like Lost Lake had it up first. |
