spytail ginger rum

I picked this up today on a whim. I'm not really a fan of spiced or flavored rums but my wife enjoys them. The rum is made in France and is supposedly barrel aged with ginger making the rum black. Named for an early submarine called Spaytail tested in a river near the distillery and the bottle is supposed to look like a diving bell. I haven't tried it yet so it may be just a cool bottle marketing prop or maybe not. Anyone else tried this out yet?
