largest tiki mug collection ever sold

Aloha,
I'm curious. What is the largest tiki mug collection that anyone has sold at one time? How much did it sell for??

The sad part is some of the really large collections probably sold for $00.25/per mug at garage sales in the 80s and early 90s. :(

I once bought a collection of 150 mugs for $1200. This was around 2003, and it included a lot of early Shag and Munktiki mugs.

Hey Buzzy,
I remember when you scored that lot.

Just over the last six months or so, Dan Cevola sold off a large portion of his collection. Literally hundreds of mugs and Tiki related items. This was one of the largest sales I have seen. I probably bought at least 100 mugs and items from him.
