Someone's gone nuts on it recently - greatly, and I mean GREATLY - expanding it:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tiki_culture

since the last time I checked it out. Which wasn't that long ago. Anyone we know..?

From the history tab on the page, looks like we have a Mr. "Nicholas Nastrusnic" to thank. I mean holy crap - talk about a prolific wiki editor. The page has a good deal of opinionated language, though. It will probably need a few revisions for subjectivity. Lines like "The crashing of its iconic wave during opening credits ended with its cancellation in 1980, coinciding with the general end of tiki culture's first wave as well." when discussing Hawaii Five-O is hardly objective.

You ain't kiddin. Huge amount of edits in Feb and March. And yet the near-book length article makes no mention of TikiCentral. The author must know about this place - he even mentions the 'Parrothead' controversy?!

Admittedly, I've only skimmed thru it, it's so long.

I skimmed it too.

Looks like a person who is really into the drink side of tiki.
Could be Jeff "Beachbum" Berry's mom? I kid.

But they do mention him a lot.

I can tell you what early female tiki artist did not write this, HA!
