From our personal tiki collection comes this plate made by the late great pottery artist Sandy Vitarelli of Haiku, Maui. Her plates, vases, lamps, and vessels typically feature story-telling Polynesian motifs, as is the case here (perhaps the title would be ‘A Tryst in the Taro Garden’? Or ‘Young Love On the Volcanic Rocks’?) As many of Sandy’s larger pieces sell in the thousands of dollars, this is a reasonably priced addition to your tiki back-bar. |
