I have ~8 Jade Tiles and want to start putting together a partition with them in a bamboo frame. Anyone have any good references on how to learn the lashing or some good resourses on sizing? |

I can't offer much in the way of knot advice, but I'll suggest that when you're positioning them in your bamboo grid (or whatever frame structure you are using) start off with zip ties. If you try to just tie them directly you're in for a lot of frustration. I positioned them with zip ties, then secured them with galvanized fencing wire like you can find in hardware or feed & supply stores. I removed the zip ties and then finished up with rope. The galvanized wire does all the structural work meaning the rope is merely ornamental, so you don't have to worry so much about knot integrity, etc. At least, that's the way I approached it. |

Prikli Pear is exactly right. I used stainless steel wire but galvanized is good too. Mine is outside so I used a brown synthetic rope instead of jute or sisal. It doesn't look quite as good but I was willing to make the trade-off for more permanence |

I used Zip ties to get the right position to centre them then put galvanised wire on, I then cut off the zip ties when in the right place and afterwards used rope to cover the wire, A long process but well worth taking your time P1380406! That's my process exactly, only mine is 70% less organized and/or competent. |

Thank you so much all! There seems to be solid consensus, can't wait to get started. Maybe I should fine 1 more for a nice 3x3 block. |
