Nice shout out to Frank Bowers in the novel Double Barrel Bluff by Lou Berney. Pages 132 -133 and 143 describe a dive bar in Siem Reap, Cambodia, called the Friendly Fireplace. The painting behind the bar seems very similar to one in The Embers, Los Angeles. |
