I recently discovered the delicious addition of a dehydrated lime wheel in my tiki drink at one of our local bars. Do you have a favorite source for these yummy garnishes? There are so many vendors to pick from. |

No source, they’re easy to make especially if you have citrus you know you’re not going to use. I “bake” them in my oven so they dehydrate. Do not cook but dehydrate them over several hours. I sugar some. For others I mix savory spices in with the sugar. I have also drawn tapa patterns by hand with sugar cream, and food coloring or using spices (like cinnamon or turmeric) for color. Time consuming? Sorta. Personal? Absolutely - if you draw on the wheels. |
